Korean Ube Grain Latte | Purple Yam Multigrain Mix | 10 Sticks
Korean Ube Grain Latte (우베 곡물 라떼) is a 10-stick box of instant purple latte powder made in Korea by Danongwon (다농원). Each 0.63 oz (18 g) stick blends ube powder from the Philippines with a roasted multigrain mix of 19 grains and beans and a creamy milk base, so a nutty, gently sweet latte takes only hot water or milk.
Think of it as a café ube latte with a toasted-grain body. One stick and a quick stir make a soft lavender cup at home, served hot or over ice.
At Kosbee, we hand-select authentic Korean foods and bring them to North America. Danongwon is a Korean tea maker in Eumseong, Chungcheongbuk-do, that produces its drink powders in a HACCP-certified facility.
What Is Ube?
Ube (Dioscorea alata) is a purple yam widely used in Filipino desserts. It looks like a purple sweet potato but has a softer, vanilla-like sweetness. In this latte, ube powder (3% of the ingredients, according to Danongwon) and purple sweet potato powder give the drink its color, and the grain mix adds a toasty, nutty depth.
What's Inside Each Stick
- Multigrain Mix
- Barley and brown rice (Korea), corn, whole wheat, oats, soybeans, white and glutinous rice, black beans, kidney beans, sorghum, peas, foxtail millet, proso millet, Job's tears, lentils, and black rice, plus roasted bean powder and steamed rice powder.
- Ube and Purple Sweet Potato
- Ube powder (Philippines) and purple sweet potato powder for color and gentle sweetness, with taro flavoring.
- Creamy Milk Base
- Skim milk preparation (Netherlands), vegetable cream, and cream powder; sugar is the first ingredient, so it is sweet straight from the stick.

How to Make It
Hot: stir one stick into 2.7 fl oz (80 mL) of hot water. For a richer cup, use hot milk.
Iced: dissolve one stick in 1 fl oz (30 mL) of hot water or milk, add 1.7 fl oz (50 mL) of cold water, then fill the glass with ice.
Pro tip: pour cold milk over the ice for a layered purple-and-white look.
Ube Grain Latte vs Ube Coconut Latte vs Misugaru
Danongwon makes two ube lattes. The Ube Grain Latte pairs ube with a 19-grain roasted mix for a nutty, toasty cup, while the Ube Coconut Latte pairs ube with coconut cream for a richer, tropical finish. If you know misugaru, the Korean roasted multigrain drink, the grain base will feel familiar; unlike plain misugaru powder, this mix is already sweetened and includes ube and a creamy milk base.
Storage, Allergens, and Good to Know
Store in a dry, cool place to keep the flavor and aroma. Once a stick is open, mix it right away.
Contains: Wheat, Milk, and Soy. Also contains barley and oats, so it is not gluten-free, and coconut oil. Made in a facility that also processes shellfish, peach, buckwheat, walnut (a tree nut), and peanut.
If you are pregnant or nursing, take any medication, or are under medical care, consult your healthcare provider before use. Enjoy in moderation.
