Centellian24 Madeca creams are Korean cica creams built on TECA, a standardized extract of Centella asiatica. All four creams below come in a 50 ml tube, but they differ in which TECA complex they use, whether they contain retinol, and how they finish on skin. This guide compares them side by side.
Madeca creams at a glance
| Cream | Centella complex | Retinol | Also notable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Madeca Cream Time Reverse | Active-TECA 30,000 ppm, madecassic acid 4,800 ppm | Yes | Niacinamide, water base |
| Madeca Tight Lifting | Moving-TECA, madecassic acid 4,000 ppm | Yes | Lactobacillus and Centella ferment filtrate as the first ingredient instead of water |
| Expert Madeca Cream Active Renew | TECA | No | Sodium DNA (PDRN) and niacinamide |
| Madeca Derma Shield | Green TECA complex | No | Pink-tinted tone-up cream |
What is TECA, and what does 30,000 ppm mean?
A regular centella extract varies from batch to batch. TECA (titrated extract of Centella asiatica) is standardized, so its asiaticoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid stay in fixed proportions. Time Reverse lists Active-TECA at 30,000 ppm, which equals 3% of the formula.
Time Reverse vs Tight Lifting: what is the difference?
Both are retinol creams with niacinamide. Time Reverse has the higher TECA and madecassic acid numbers in a water base. Tight Lifting swaps water for a fermented centella filtrate and uses the Moving-TECA complex. If you want the highest listed TECA level, pick Time Reverse; if you prefer a ferment-based formula, pick Tight Lifting.
Which Madeca cream has no retinol?
Expert Madeca Cream Active Renew and Madeca Derma Shield contain no retinol. Active Renew pairs TECA with sodium DNA (PDRN) and niacinamide for a daily moisturizer. Derma Shield is a pink-tinted tone-up cream that evens the look of skin under makeup.
Which one should I pick?
- Want a retinol cream with the most TECA: Time Reverse.
- Want a retinol cream on a ferment base: Tight Lifting.
- Want to skip retinol: Expert Madeca Cream Active Renew.
- Want a tinted cream for the morning: Derma Shield.
How to use a retinol cream
Start with a small amount every other evening and build up as your skin gets used to it. Patch test first, and wear sunscreen during the day. If you are pregnant or nursing, ask your healthcare provider before using any retinol product. These are cosmetics for external use only.
