Experience the robust power of Korean Injin Mugwort (Injin-ssuk / 인진쑥), scientifically known as Artemisia Capillaris. Unlike common mugwort, Injin-ssuk is famous for its resilience, surviving through the harshest winters. In traditional Korean wellness, this resilience is believed to be transferred to the body, making it a revered herb for restoring vitality, clearing internal heat, and supporting deep internal cleansing.
Our premium Injin Mugwort is harvested in clean environments in Korea and naturally dried to preserve its potent nutrients. It is distinctly different from culinary mugwort, possessing a stronger, deeper character used primarily for wellness teas and baths.
Injin-ssuk has a strong, bitter, and earthy flavor with a refreshing herbal aftertaste. The bitterness is a sign of its active components. Many enjoy this authentic taste, but it pairs wonderfully with natural sweeteners like Licorice Root (Gamcho) or Honey to balance the profile.
1. Injin Mugwort Tea (Herbal Tonic):
Since the leaves are hardy, boiling is recommended over steeping.
Instructions: Rinse 10–20g of dried herbs. Add to 1.5 liters of water and boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30–40 minutes. Drink warm.
2. Wellness Bath & Facial Steam:
Boil a concentrated pot of Injin-ssuk and add the water to your bath or use it as a facial rinse. It helps to soothe the skin and impart a healthy glow.
